You, however, shall again obey the voice of the Lord and observe all his commandments which I am giving you today. Deuteronomy 30:8

Today is the sixth sunday of easter where the gospel is coming from the book of John. Jesus spoke to his disciples saying, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments". By these words, Jesus challenged his disciples to keep his commandments if they  trust, believe and love Him. It looks like a simple challenge but it means a lot not only to the disciples but also to all of us. Jesus also challenges us to live and obey His commandments because if we can follow His commandments it means we love Him and His father. Even though loving Jesus is difficult because we cannot see Him face to face, we must know that He ask His father to have another advocate with us always and that is the spirit of truth which the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows it.
It is difficult to live by the spirit of truth but we must always trust and believe in Him. That He knows what's best for us and He sees us all. No matter what happens to our life,  we must always be ready for the things that will come. We must always pray for guidance, forgiveness and protection.  Every time we have to choose, encounter difficulties, commit mistakes, go to work or school and travel to different places,  God should always be at the  center like in the song One Way; Jesus is our way, our truth and our life, we must live by faith and not by sight.
But on the other hand, it is hard for other people to understand our faith. We cannot deny that all of us have differences. May it be in our physical appearance,  well being or religion. We must always be ready for the possibilities that we must defend on our faith or judgements that will rule over but remember the commandments of Jesus. Each hardships must be responded with gentleness and reverence. Do not depend on your self's faith and trust on one another because we can learn from one another. As Christians, we must know our faith. We must know how to love and follow the commandments because that is what Jesus wants us to do.
During this time of pandemic, we must be ready for the things that might come and happen. Be thankful for the life and blessings received. Moreover, show love because Jesus loves us.
