So be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us as a sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma. Ephesians 5:1‭-‬2

Today in our gospel, it tells us of the time when the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
This is also called “The Great Commission” because Jesus Christ urges his apostles to make “Disciples of all nations” and “baptize them”. This refers to the calling that we as disciples of Jesus Christ need to spread his teachings to all the nations of the world. The purpose of God is to be reconciled with all humanity, which includes every nationality and race
He also said in His final words “I am with you always, to the very end of age”. This ending reminds us of the person of Jesus in his earthly life--the one who shared space with people, lived, and was present with them, and showed us what God is like. And this also inspires us to be Jesus to others every day. Even simple deeds can have a great impact on someone’s life or day. And let us not forget that throughout this journey, Jesus is always with us and He will guide us unto a better path.
