Gospel Reading: John 20:19-23 On the evening of that first day of the week,           when the doors were locked, where the disciples were,           for fear of the Jews,           Jesus came and stood in their midst           and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them,           “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them,           and whose sins you retain are retained.” Fear. A mere 4-letter word yet it seems to leave a very powerful impression towards every living thing. A 4-letter word that unmans even the strongest warrior that ever existed. Fear makes one vulnerable to the emotional hazards that surrounds the mind and the soul. It dispossesses us of the opportunity to experience the mo

So be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us as a sacrificial offering to God for a fragrant aroma. Ephesians 5:1‭-‬2

Today in our gospel, it tells us of the time when the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” This is also called “The Great Commission” because Jesus Christ urges his apostles to make “Disciples of all nations” and “baptize them”. This refers to the calling that we as disciples of Jesus Christ need to spread his teachings to all the nations of the world. The purpose of God is to be reconciled with all humanity, which includes every nationality and race He also said in His final words “I am with you always, to the very end of age”. This ending

You, however, shall again obey the voice of the Lord and observe all his commandments which I am giving you today. Deuteronomy 30:8

Today is the sixth sunday of easter where the gospel is coming from the book of John. Jesus spoke to his disciples saying, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments". By these words, Jesus challenged his disciples to keep his commandments if they  trust, believe and love Him. It looks like a simple challenge but it means a lot not only to the disciples but also to all of us. Jesus also challenges us to live and obey His commandments because if we can follow His commandments it means we love Him and His father. Even though loving Jesus is difficult because we cannot see Him face to face, we must know that He ask His father to have another advocate with us always and that is the spirit of truth which the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows it. It is difficult to live by the spirit of truth but we must always trust and believe in Him. That He knows what's best for us and He sees us all. No matter what happens to our life,  we must always be ready for

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

This Sunday’s Gospel is taken from the holy book of John where Jesus was explaining to his disciples during the last supper, about Him and the Father being one. Jesus said to them “I am the Way I am Truth and Life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will know my Father too. From this moment you know him and have seen him.” Jesus at that moment was sending his disciples to bring forth the good news to the people. The message that; through Jesus we are saved because whoever believes in him will have eternal life and also, we are told to not let our hearts be troubled. By reflecting deeper through the Gospel, we can say that Jesus is sending us forth to be more faithful and hopeful especially on this time of pandemic not only to ourselves but also to spread positivity all around us. We are tasked to be the messengers of good news even in the midst of this trying times. These are difficult times where everywhere, we receive bad news of people dying every

“I am the good shepherd I know each of my sheep by name, and my sheep know Me.” – John 10:14

Today in our gospel, it tells us about the story of the sheep and the Good Shepherd that was said by Jesus. It begins with Jesus saying: “If a man sneaks over the fence to get into a sheep pen. He probably is a thief. If he calls the sheep, they won’t come because he’s a stranger. His voice frightens them and they run away. But the real Shepherd enters through the gate. And when he calls his sheep, he uses their name and they know his voice. I am the Good Shepherd I know each of my sheep by name, and my sheep know Me. And I am the gate. Those who come through Me will be saved. They will have everything they need.” “Sometimes a man is hired to watch over the sheep” continued Jesus. “But this man does not own these sheep and he does not really care about them. He –works to get paid and if a wolf comes in the middle of the night. The man runs away! And the wolf attacks the sheep and scatters the flock. The man doesn’t even care because they’re not his sheep.” “But I am the good s
