Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have; God is pleased by sacrifices of that kind. Hebrews 13:16

In today's gospel, Jesus shared three parables to the crowd. The first parable he spoke is about a man who sowed good seeds in his field and an enemy who sowed weeds in it. His slave noticed it and told him about the weeds. Thus, he replied "Let them grow together until harvest; then at harvest time I will say to the harvesters, “First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles for burning; but gather the wheat into my barn." Jesus explained further to his disciples on what it wants to tell us. The field is the world, and the good seed are the children of the kingdom; the weeds are the children of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. Whenever we experience or see something evil, we come across with the thought why God allows evil in the world. We doubt him of his true intentions for us, his children. However, we should remember that God may permit evil, but it will never come from him. He
In today’s gospel, it talks about the Parable of the Sower, where the seeds that were mentioned represent us when we listen to God’s word.  Just like in the story, some seeds were unable to be sown on rich soil, these seeds represent those who are able to see and hear God’s word, but never understand what it really means. Those people often experience fear and discomfort because they don't truly feel the message behind God’s word. But some seeds were able to fall on rich soil and produce fruit. These seeds represent those followers of Christ who are able to not only see and hear God’s word but also listen to it and understand the meaning behind it. These people tend to experience the joy and content as they feel God’s presence in listening to His word.  Looking at our situation today, we only get to attend the holy mass at home due to the crisis that has been going on, but still, it doesn’t just stop there. Yes, we may be able to gather ourselves in prayer at home and we get to hea

Heal me, Lord , that I may be healed; save me, that I may be saved, for you are my praise.Jeremiah 17:14

In the Gospel, Jesus says “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Especially in times like this, we all need God. We all have our own problems we are facing during this time, but we should remember that we are not alone and that we have God with us. Let us lift all our problems to Him and He will give us rest.  Let us remember in all aspects in life that we are not alone. He is watching and guiding us. When you are in doubt turn to prayer and talk to God. He is there to help us and always giving His unconditional love to us. It also says that “my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” and a yoke is a piece of wood, shaped to rest comfortably on the shoulders and loads are attached to each end and therefore the weight is spread making it easier to carry. He will be our yoke and He will lighten our burdens and turn them into labours of love. With that yoke, with His assistance, we can do anything.
